Start where you are
You don’t need all the answers
to ask for help.
Many families don’t have the information or resources to understand complex contracts, financing, and legal risks. When something goes wrong, professional help can be expensive or out of reach. We bring education, preparation tools, and a legal-access funding mission together to make the next step easier.
How we can help
Clear information.
Practical preparation. A way forward.
01Understand the agreement
Learn what to look for in a solar agreement, construction contract, or home-related financing arrangement. Our service guides help you identify the parties involved, the promises made, and the questions to ask.
Explore homeowner education 02Recognize questions that need attention
Unexpected payments, incomplete work, and unclear terms deserve a closer look. Use our risk-awareness guidance to organize your concerns and identify when qualified advice may be needed.
Explore risk awareness 03Prepare a clear record
Gather agreements, payment records, photos, messages, and a timeline. Our guided plan and document checklist help you explain what happened without uploading private records to this website.

Use our public resource links to find independent legal-aid and housing-counseling information. Ask the fund about available support for attorney costs. Our donor and sponsor mission is to make qualified help more accessible; assistance depends on eligibility, review, and available funding.

From preparation to a conversation
Here’s how to get started.
01Prepare a short overview
Choose a topic above. Note what happened, your state, the companies involved, and any known deadline. Use the checklist to gather your records.
02Contact Justice for Homeowners Fund
Call (888) 742-2880 or prepare an email inquiry. Tell us what help you are seeking. Keep account numbers and private documents out of your first message.
03Confirm your next step
Ask about current availability, service fit, fees, funding requirements, and any records needed. A licensed attorney must separately agree to provide legal representation.
When cost is a barrier
Ask about help
with attorney costs.
Our mission includes financial support for homeowners who cannot afford legal help. Donors and sponsors help build those resources.
Contact the fund to confirm current program availability, eligibility, covered services, and any limits before relying on assistance. No funding amount, approval, or legal outcome is promised through this website.
Explore attorney-cost supportBefore you reach out.
Who is this support for?
Our focus is lower and middle class homeowners with solar, construction, home-improvement, or home-related financing concerns. We are building a nationwide platform; ask the fund about current service availability in your state and any program requirements.
Do I need documents to get started?
No private documents are needed to use the preparation tool. A brief, general description is enough for an initial inquiry. Gather your records for yourself and ask how any requested documents should be provided.
Does completing the plan submit a request?
No. The plan is a preparation tool. To ask for assistance, call the fund or use the contact page to prepare an email that you review and send through your own email app.
Will the fund be my lawyer?
The fund provides homeowner education, preparation resources, and a mission of improving legal access. Legal advice and representation require a separate agreement with a licensed attorney.
What if there is a deadline?
Contact a licensed attorney or legal aid promptly about a court date, foreclosure notice, collection demand, or other legal deadline. Do not wait for a fund response. A website inquiry does not pause a deadline.
